WEEK TWO - MINGLE
WEEK TWO - MINGLE

SURVIVORS: 18
Has it really been only a week since you found yourself in this place? But just like that, the days have come and gone, and five of your number have been lost. The space seems a little larger, less claustrophobic. By mid-afternoon on Sunday, after the execution, guests will also realise that the hotel is once again pristine thanks to the work of the ever-present faceless and nameless staff members, and the elevators are all in working order again.
Something is peculiar about your rooms, though -- something you may notice after you come back from the execution. Your desks now have a different Polaroid camera on them. This time, each resident gets one with a total of 10 film each. Film for these cameras in particular can be refilled in the gift shop. For Kurama in particular, the camera is larger and built so that he's able to (somewhat) see through the lenses and hit a button with his nose to take the photo. What differentiates these cameras from the ones you received last week is for you to find out.
At precisely 8AM on Monday morning, the fog recedes slightly, allowing just the slightest hint of sunlight to peek through. There is a gentle sea breeze, comfortable weather in every feasible way.
Rise and shine, everyone, it's time to make the day yours, just like the rest of the week. Better enjoy it while it lasts.

cw hallucinations
However, when he makes his way into the gift shop in the morning to grab some snacks, he finds something he never expected to—Tohru, laying lifeless on the floor. He freezes in place. All he can hear is her kind voice, telling him that it's his fault that this happened to her, that everyone hates him, that of course she never really accepted him for who he is— ]
No...
[ He has to get out of here, but his feet don't move.
Later in the early afternoon, Yuki decides to stay in the garden for some peace of mind. There are a lot of flowers piled in his lap as he winds them together the way Arthur showed him a few days ago. If he can stay focused, maybe he'll stop seeing such horrible things... ]
[ feel free to wildcard me as well! yuki can be found just about anywhere ]
Garden
That's quite a lot of flowers you picked. What are you planning on doing with them?
no subject
[ He looks up at her, managing a small and very tenuous smile. ]
Should I make you a crown?
no subject
[ Iria would usually say no, but she understands that Yuki needs a distraction right now. ]
I suppose the hotel won't be mad at you.
[ She laughs a little. ]
no subject
[ His smile grows just a little brighter. ]
I think blue and purple would look nice on you.
[ Soft colors... he thinks that suits her. Yuki starts pulling the blue and purple flowers out of his little pile. ]

Yuki-san.
[ She doesn't reach out to touch him, because she doesn't want to startle him. She just stands next to him and looks at him with concern. ]
Yuki-san...it's not real. I promise.
no subject
Yuki has to repeat that to himself a few times, and if he says it aloud? Well, he knows Tsumugi wouldn't judge him for that. ]
You're... you're right, Tsumugi-san.
[ His shoulders slump slightly. ]
It's not real.
no subject
It isn't. Please don't lose yourself to it.
no subject
Tsumugi-san... I'm sorry you had to see me like that. I—
[ Yuki cuts himself off, shaking his head. He doesn't need to unload his problems onto her. ]
gift shop;
[He sees the way Yuki freezes, looking at something Arthur cannot see. With the way things have gotten worse and worse each day, he can only imagine the horrible things he could be seeing here.
He approaches him cautiously, brows knit together.]
no subject
It's Honda-san... It's my fault.
no subject
[Which is easier to say when it's not his vision laying on the ground. He ignores the whispers, the voices murmuring about how he should have died all those years ago, to focus on Yuki.]
It's just a trick.
no subject
...You're right. Thank you, Arthur.
[ He lets out a long, shaky breath. ]
It's a trick.
garden
The point is--Gentaro is here, with a book, and as he spots Yuki, he goes right over. ]
May I join you?
no subject
[ Yuki manages to offer him a small smile as he scoots over a little so Gentaro has enough room. ]
What are you reading?
no subject
Something a bit lighthearted. I am afraid I cannot stomach anything more serious, for the time being.

Then he puts his fingers close to his mouth and just whistles loudly. ]
Hey! Come back down to earth before the next era.

Xue Yang? How long have you been there?

Not been here all that long, actually, just walked in~

wildcard
Iria has been making space in her room for the mugs that will inevitably be here. She left her room door open just a smidge, so that Yuki can come inside whenever he wants. When he does, he might find Iria staring at her bed a little too much. She doesn't hear his initial greeting either, if he gives one. ]

Is everything alright?
no subject
... It was just a hallucination. Come in. Do you need any help with those? You can dump them on the bed so that we can place them neatly on the floor.
