WEEK TWO - MINGLE

Has it really been only a week since you found yourself in this place? But just like that, the days have come and gone, and five of your number have been lost. The space seems a little larger, less claustrophobic. By mid-afternoon on Sunday, after the execution, guests will also realise that the hotel is once again pristine thanks to the work of the ever-present faceless and nameless staff members, and the elevators are all in working order again.

Something is peculiar about your rooms, though -- something you may notice after you come back from the execution. Your desks now have a different Polaroid camera on them. This time, each resident gets one with a total of 10 film each. Film for these cameras in particular can be refilled in the gift shop. For Kurama in particular, the camera is larger and built so that he's able to (somewhat) see through the lenses and hit a button with his nose to take the photo. What differentiates these cameras from the ones you received last week is for you to find out.

At precisely 8AM on Monday morning, the fog recedes slightly, allowing just the slightest hint of sunlight to peek through. There is a gentle sea breeze, comfortable weather in every feasible way.

Rise and shine, everyone, it's time to make the day yours, just like the rest of the week. Better enjoy it while it lasts.

( OOC: IC-ly, your character may freely use the individual cameras received this week. For OOC purposes, you may submit up to three locations this week where you are taking photos, what the photos are of, and what day these photos were taken. Photos do not have to be taken on the same day and can be taken on different days during the week.

Some photos may turn up with nothing too unusual, but others may come with a special surprise. :) The mod team will respond to you if something happens with your photo.

The bulletin board can be found at the front desk area. Next to the board, there is a stack of post-it notes, thumbtacks and resort-branded ballpoint pens. For Kurama specifically, a large inkpad has been helpfully provided, along with some drawing paper.

To stick a post-it on the bulletin board, leave a comment in this top level. Anonymous messages should be marked with ANON in the subject, and please feel free to comment away and threadjack.

All post-it notes on the bulletin board will be cleared on Fridays.

LOCATION UPDATES:

- Kurama's property damage spree continues to happen. While it is mostly concentrated in Room 606 and the restaurant, guests will find that locations affected by Kurama's property damage will reset back to normal two hours after Kurama has left the area.
- Grafitti on the walls of the front desk and the lobby. They look more faded than they should be, but when touched, will feel like the paint is still wet.

MOTIVE ANNOUNCEMENT (cw: hallucinations)

[ Come Tuesday morning, guests will start to notice flickers and glimpses of people or hear vague echoes of them, whether it's loved ones and family, or people who they have a strong connection to, positive or negative.

These hallucinations (whether auditory or visual) start out relatively benign, like seeing a family member sitting in the cafe in the resort, or hearing their voice call out your name even if the room is empty. As the week progresses, they will progressively turn more vivid and take a turn for the worse, becoming more gruesome and explicit. They will also get increasingly harder to ignore, as each sound, each sight feels more and more lifelike, more realistic.

On Tuesday evening, at 6:00PM, all guests will receive a typed-out card delivered to their rooms. It is unsigned.

A proposition for you: A death this week to secure the safety of those you hold dear, or to ward away the presence from your greatest nightmares.

We have faith in you.

The hallucinations will stop when investigation commences on Friday morning.

( OOC: For characters with no loved ones in their canon, you are free to improvise and play around with the effects of the hallucinations and/or voices haunting your character. Some suggestions that we have for increasingly escalating situations:

1. Being taunted and mocked by your worst enemy
2. The sensation of being followed or being attacked by someone, whether unidentifiable, from your character's canon or by another hotel guest
3. Characters' loved ones being maimed or murdered by an unidentifiable assailant, or an assailant wearing the face of one of the other hotel guests
4. The mangled, bloody corpses of your character's loved ones, accusing your character of failing to save them and thus causing their deaths, crying out for vengeance. )
