WEEK TWO - MINGLE

Has it really been only a week since you found yourself in this place? But just like that, the days have come and gone, and five of your number have been lost. The space seems a little larger, less claustrophobic. By mid-afternoon on Sunday, after the execution, guests will also realise that the hotel is once again pristine thanks to the work of the ever-present faceless and nameless staff members, and the elevators are all in working order again.

Something is peculiar about your rooms, though -- something you may notice after you come back from the execution. Your desks now have a different Polaroid camera on them. This time, each resident gets one with a total of 10 film each. Film for these cameras in particular can be refilled in the gift shop. For Kurama in particular, the camera is larger and built so that he's able to (somewhat) see through the lenses and hit a button with his nose to take the photo. What differentiates these cameras from the ones you received last week is for you to find out.

At precisely 8AM on Monday morning, the fog recedes slightly, allowing just the slightest hint of sunlight to peek through. There is a gentle sea breeze, comfortable weather in every feasible way.

Rise and shine, everyone, it's time to make the day yours, just like the rest of the week. Better enjoy it while it lasts.

Iria scoots closer so that she could give Yuki a hug from the side as she rests her head on his shoulder. Even if he doesn't feel anything about it anymore, she thinks he at least deserves a hug about all this. ]

Don't forget that you're still you as a person, Yuki. Even with the curse, you're still Yuki, not just the Rat.

Hatsuharu stuck around a lot after that. I owe him a lot.

That's good to hear. And also... anticlimactic.

[ Iria pulls herself away to lean on the bed again. ]

But things like that are better for situations like those.

They are. And Hatsuharu is a simple person. Being honest and kind with him will typically win him over.

[ That really is his favorite type of person, if Yuki thinks about it. ]

Being simple is a very nice trait to see in other people. You get into less conflict due to avoiding misunderstandings if you're clear with them.

Do you like simple people?

I do, but there's nothing wrong with complicated people either.

[ After all, Yuki himself is a complicated person. ]

Would being honest and kind to you also win you over?

I think so.

[ After all, why wouldn't it? Honesty and kindness are things he values. ]

Well, I like you for who you are--as the person that you presented yourself as during our stay.

[ He smiles. It's nice to hear her say that once again, especially since he hasn't been pretending to be anyone he's not while he's been here. ]

Well, those are my honest feelings. You've supported me very much during these troubling times, and you're such a good friend that I don't have to feel like I have to keep my guard up around you.

I don't expect an answer for that, but if you find it too awkward, I'm sure we can work something out.

[ In a way, it's like they've needed each other. To be able to provide support to someone and help them through something so awful... it surprises him that he's been able to do that.

He smiles as he leans forward and gives her a kiss on the cheek. ]

[ Kisses usually don't mean anything if they aren't emotionally charged with a specific kind. That's why Iria could do all those things before and not bat an eye. But with this one, even on the cheek, she feels heat rising in her face.

She covers her face with a pillow aaaaaaaa ]

[ He laughs. ]

This is why I said you're cute.

[ Ugh. Ugh!!! Iria can't retaliate so she just shoves the pillow into Yuki's face. ]

[ RUDE. He doesn't shove it back at her, though. Instead, he just holds onto it. ]
