WEEK THREE -- INVESTIGATION

8:00AM on a Friday morning, and it's not a pleasant awakening. In fact, you may actually be jerked awake by the sense of dread that permeates through you, even if the violent impulses that have plagued you through the week seem to be... not quite gone? They're... still here?

But you will feel lighter at 8:05AM, which never bodes well for you.

Someone has decided to act on the motive.

Residents on Floors 5 and 6 may realise that until 8:15AM, the elevators do not work, and that in front of most of the doors to their rooms, chairs (taken from the cafe, lobby, assortment of other places) have been placed in front of their doors - not enough to completely trap them in their rooms, but definitely enough to cause some difficulty in getting out.

Time is ticking.

8:00 AM - OUTSIDE OF THE HOTEL + GARDEN

[ There is something outside the hotel lobby, right at the entrance in between the hotel building itself and the pool/garden area.

Also... The garden is on fire. You should probably put it out as soon as you can get to it. ]

Alcina will see whatever's going on outside the lobby on her way for her morning coffee. What do we have this week?!]

[Alan did not sign up for this before his morning coffee but this sure is happening, he guesses.

Where is a fire extinguisher when you need one...?]

8:20AM - ON THE WAY TO THE GARDEN

[ With the fiasco of the elevators and the clamour for everyone to get downstairs, it probably takes a hot minute (ha) for Alan to actually get to the lobby/entrance.

The nearest fire extinguisher is at the kitchen area, so he might want to make a detour over there before heading out. ]

8:20AM - HOTEL ENTRANCE

And... just to check, is Alcina looking at what's happening outside the entrance from where she is, or is she attempting to leave the building? ]

[Almost directly at 8:00, a very loud slamming door can be heard for people on the fifth floor, followed by a series of frantic button presses and banging on the elevator door.]

OPEN UP, ASSHOLE!!!

[Yep, it's Reigen.]

[Kurama....... literally foxtrots out of the mini theatre. It takes a moment for it to actually squeeze through the door, but anyway.

Reigen gets a dead-eyed stare.]

Did you forget how to operate the elevator?

AT 8:00 AM

[ Since Kurama and Reigen are at the elevators, they may notice that Elevator 2 is stuck on the rooftop, and Elevators 1 and 3 seem to be stuck at Floor 4. ]

[8:01. Reigen turns around, a serious and slightly panicked look in his eyes.]

Of course I remember! It's not working! Something's--look, we're running out of time!

[8:03. Reigen's eyes dart around, looking towards the windows and the covered doors.]

Ugh, what kind of hotel doesn't have fucking stairs?!

[ lucas sure took his sweet time getting out of bed, though his mood quickly soured when it took an even longer amount of time to jiggle and shuffle his door all the way open. he hates this place so much. does everything have to be so annoying so early in the morning. god.

by the time he's free from room-jail, the elevators still aren't working, so he can't get breakfast like he planned. also apparently most of the people on his floor - the sixth floor - are dead or kurama, so.

he'll wait for his favorite elevator to start working soon.tm because it never fails him (it's the one the works the best). and wait, is that the smell of something burning? wow, looks like things are on fire again. too bad he has zero understanding of fire extinguishers and has no inclination to put out any fires for this hotel. in fact, he was hoping it would burn to the ground. also what's fire safety? he's still determined to take his damn elevator even during a fire.

with nothing else to do and no one (?) to talk to, he starts humming the usual elevator music. ]

AT APPROXIMATELY 8:45AM, AFTER THE FIRE IN THE GARDEN IS PUT OUT.

[ The Manager’s voice will crackle over the PA system and despite how soft her voice usually sounds, it will carry through the entire resort. This week, however, the distortion in her voice is a little bit more obvious than usual. ]

We regret to inform you that Remilia Scarlet is dead. You know what comes after - the final trial will be held in the Ballroom at 12PM today, and attendance is compulsory. My staff will see to it that you are there.
