WEEK THREE -- INVESTIGATION

8:00AM on a Friday morning, and it's not a pleasant awakening. In fact, you may actually be jerked awake by the sense of dread that permeates through you, even if the violent impulses that have plagued you through the week seem to be... not quite gone? They're... still here?

But you will feel lighter at 8:05AM, which never bodes well for you.

Someone has decided to act on the motive.

Residents on Floors 5 and 6 may realise that until 8:15AM, the elevators do not work, and that in front of most of the doors to their rooms, chairs (taken from the cafe, lobby, assortment of other places) have been placed in front of their doors - not enough to completely trap them in their rooms, but definitely enough to cause some difficulty in getting out.

Time is ticking.

8:20AM - ON THE WAY TO THE GARDEN

[ With the fiasco of the elevators and the clamour for everyone to get downstairs, it probably takes a hot minute (ha) for Alan to actually get to the lobby/entrance.

The nearest fire extinguisher is at the kitchen area, so he might want to make a detour over there before heading out. ]

[Yeah, he'll do that, and probably also burn his mouth slamming back a quick cup of coffee in the process becuase look there is no way he is facing this without at least SOME caffeine.

So now that he is armed and ready, just what is he dealing with here?]

APPROXIMATELY 8:25AM, AFTER ALAN HAS HIS COFFEE

[ Might want to be careful that you don't trip over Remilia's body on the way out.

However, if he's joined by any other fire-fighting crew, he will realise that...

Well, most of the garden is on fire. It seems to be burning in a very controlled way, but it does cover most of the garden area and will take a combination of fire extinguisher, water (from the pool or from a hose) to cover all the area at once. Too big for one person to handle, but absolutely manageable with teamwork. ]

[ Fortunately, Alan will have an assistant! Penny's decided to leave Remilia to Alcina, which means she's out here with her hose working alongside Alan and his extinguisher!

Where does the fire seem to be the worst? (That isn't in the middle of the garden, of course.) ]

[ Here comes another assistant! He really doesn’t want to disturb the body, so he’s careful to make his way around poor Remilia. ]

Penny! Alan! Tell me what you need and I’ll do it.

[ He doesn’t want to let this fire continue burning. He looks for where it’s the worst as well. ]

[ The epicenter of the fire does seem to be the middle of the garden and might be worth coming back to check out later during evidence collection.

With Yuki's help, the combined team of Alan, Penny and Yuki should be able to put out the entire fire within the next ten to fifteen minutes or so since they'll have covered enough ground!

[ Once the garden fire is out, Penny lets out a big sigh of relief. ]
