FINALE
THE FINALE

SURVIVORS: 22 ♫
The Manager has been sealed away. All of you are really, truly here, and the hell you've endured for the past three weeks is finally over. No more trials, no more motives. No more death.
The sky is clear, now, sunny as ever. While that may still seem suspicious, the ocean is calm and there are birds (including seagulls) in the sky. The resort is intact, but everything seems to have finally settled down. The dreadful feeling is no more -- unless you're feeling it on your own volition -- and the only thing that seems to stand between you and freedom is the boat you once arrived here on. It is docked, waiting to be ridden once more. It's not leaving for a while yet, but when you board the ship, each of you will be presented with a blank ticket, one that will reflect your final destination, whether it be your own home or someone else's. The choice is yours.
Now would be a good time to say your farewells. Whether or not you'll meet again is unknown, but perhaps someday, your paths will collide once more.
The shard, wherever it now lies, still pulses faintly with energy.

He's about to offer his real name so he doesn't have to keep being called all these stupid things, but then they're veering away from that again, and he blinks. ]
Oh— Well, yes, probably. I don't think anyone damaged the kitchen, in any case, so as long as you didn't personally clear out their stock.

What is staying on topic? Is his hand still on
M[redacted]'s shoulder? It's a mystery. ]Oh, did you see me drinking all those bottles too?

[ There's no bitterness. But now he wonders what it would've been like. ]
What was it like over there anyway?

no subject
[ Well, wherever they're at, he relaxes his shoulders like he doesn't care whether they stay here or not. ]
But I'm happy you all didn't have it so bad.
no subject
I didn't say I wouldn't join you for a drink, though.
[ it's been a few days since his last hangover, he's fine... ]
...Hm. I wonder if the geese would actually be affected by alcohol now or not.
[ don't ask why he knows they weren't before ]
no subject
Well then, shall we?
[ Tylor's expression brightens into a grin, instantly looking less tired once he straightens up a little. He knows the area so well by now, especially the path to the bar, that he starts out taking a couple steps backwards. Unsurprisingly, he keeps talking. ]
Huh? Do they even like it?
no subject
yeah ok don't judge him ]
Probably not, but they didn't dislike it.
[ The geese all follow behind, their steps perfectly in sync with one another. ]
...I was just trying to use the same trick on them that I used on you, but now that I have my full power back, I shouldn't need to try it again anyway.

[ Shaking his head, more playfully than with any ounce of annoyance. Tylor eventually turns on his heel, falling in step with with him. With a lingering glance back at the geese, no matter what formation they're in, then back to the Master, it's like you can almost sense the dumb comment coming before he starts forming it-- ]
... How cute. You look like their mom.
[ They aren't goslings, Tylor. ]
no subject
...Hm. Well, I suppose I'm like something of a mother figure to my human followers, so it's not unreasonable for the same to be true for them.

[ There's that smile again as they near seating and just beyond are the bottles that Tylor plans to make a beeline for if the master doesn't. He's taken so many of them before, it's almost instinct. ]
no subject
Of course not, that would be like saying we're on the same level. MAIK is simply their god.
[ He's a single parent, it's fine.
Go grab those bottles, he'll attempt to get the geese situated around a table. ]
no subject
[ Tossed carelessly over his shoulder as he leaves Mother Goose to the seating arrangements. Even when he disappears for a moment, Tylor's still within yelling range while he's on his mission.
Returning triumphant, holding two bottles and some glasses, he clinks them on the table as he drops himself onto the closest free chair. Wherever the geese decided he is sitting, Tylor only opens the moscato for now, leaving the other bottle of harder liquor alone while he pours the Master a glass.
Sliding it over as far as he can-- ]
Now it's almost like we're on a real vacation, don't you think?
no subject
[ Traveling between three of Japan's main islands all the time is a lot, actually, and he's responsible for much more than a flock of geese there. Really, he does sort of deserve a vacation.
The geese are circled around the legs of the table, so Tylor can just kind of step over Geese E and F to get to the seat on the opposite side of the table.
The Master takes the glass he's given with a smile, and closes his eyes as he takes a sip. Hm... If he's not actually looking at this place and remembering what a shitty nightmare hellhole it was at night, the sea breeze is pretty nice. ]
...Yes, almost.
no subject
Boy, this is the life. Nice weather, nice drinks, nice company. [ He holds his glass up, tipping it in the Master's direction before swirling the wine in his glass. It's the only thing keeping him from drinking the last of it. ]
Thanks for joining me.
[ Yes, he's forgotten that he's supposed to be thinking about where he's going. ]
no subject
You're welcome.
[ Just. Completely acknowledging with no modesty that he is great company and everyone should be grateful for it. Even if he's still kind of baffled by it in this particular case and still thinks this guy is a huge dumbass. ]
I have to say I still really can't comprehend your way of thinking... but I suppose I can't complain too much.
[ For his own part, he's still frustrated about his plan being derailed, but now that he's alive again, his fury has at least been tamped down. Anyway, it's very nice to be appreciated (which he so rarely is), and if the whole forced-into-helping-with-murder thing really doesn't bother this idiot, he's not going to try to change his mind. ]
The others here are terribly disrespectful, you know.
no subject
Well then, I'm happy you enjoy drinking with me too.
[ Clearly, he enjoyed it so much that he just had to set him up for murder. ]
Really? Why do you say that? Are you still upset at being called Jim?
[ There's that genuine curiosity again, despite everything that's happened between them. And it might be hard to tell if he agrees with the Master's statement or not, but Tylor accepts it as Jim's view of things with no judgment either way. ]
no subject
Among other things. They all belittle the great MAIK and make sarcastic quips about whatever I say, and they only ask for my input when they want to make fun of it.
[ Honestly, this is all probably a lot milder than what he deserves, given that he murdered two of those people and tried to get all of the others killed too, but he's certainly not going to see it that way!!
He takes a long drink. ]
That awful girl even trained one of the lesser geese to chew on my hair on command.
what, who, where
[ But at the geese training comment, Tylor tilts his head and his braincell powers up as he looks over the Master's hair. Innocently, casually stating a matter of fact, he adds-- ]
Well, I think your hair still looks pretty anyway.
