WEEK TWO - MINGLE
WEEK TWO - MINGLE

SURVIVORS: 18
Has it really been only a week since you found yourself in this place? But just like that, the days have come and gone, and five of your number have been lost. The space seems a little larger, less claustrophobic. By mid-afternoon on Sunday, after the execution, guests will also realise that the hotel is once again pristine thanks to the work of the ever-present faceless and nameless staff members, and the elevators are all in working order again.
Something is peculiar about your rooms, though -- something you may notice after you come back from the execution. Your desks now have a different Polaroid camera on them. This time, each resident gets one with a total of 10 film each. Film for these cameras in particular can be refilled in the gift shop. For Kurama in particular, the camera is larger and built so that he's able to (somewhat) see through the lenses and hit a button with his nose to take the photo. What differentiates these cameras from the ones you received last week is for you to find out.
At precisely 8AM on Monday morning, the fog recedes slightly, allowing just the slightest hint of sunlight to peek through. There is a gentle sea breeze, comfortable weather in every feasible way.
Rise and shine, everyone, it's time to make the day yours, just like the rest of the week. Better enjoy it while it lasts.

A THING
no subject
And of course what he was up to was about to be found out! He had a few talismans with him (though he's not the only one with them right now), newly created of course, and...
He wasn't alone, as they were now in the poolside area. Particularly nearby the storage. ]
So, you guys ready? Just follow my lead and stick these up on the wall, and it should draw some ghosts nearby.
By the way, when we're done, we're probably going to want to get the hell out, but let's see what happens.
[ So here he is going to start doing that. ]
no subject
Does it matter where we put them?
no subject
Hopefully he doesn’t get slapped this time.]
Should we have warned people we were doing this?
[Too late for that now, but he’s at least waiting to put up the talismans until Xue Yang answers Alan.]
no subject
Well just make sure they're basically centered around the storage area so we can just get them in one spot.
[ ...then at Arthur's follow-up he just smiles.
Yeah, that's a good question there. ]
Too late to have warned them about it now, right? Let's just get a move on.
no subject
[Because that's... really all he has to offer in terms of ghost repellent here! But hey, between that and talismans, they should(??) be fine, right?
Setting up those talismans now...]
no subject
Alright.
[Just going to start putting the talismans up…
But. Hm.]
You don’t think it could draw in anyone who… died recently, do you?
no subject
What is being helpful. ]
Don't worry about it~
As long as we don't stick around when shit gets pear-shaped, we'll be fine.
[ He seems confident in that... ]
I suppose it could, but it depends.
no subject
because well, since they're inside of the pool storage right now with the talismans on the wall active, there sure is an ominous breeze and a slight creaking of the door to the storage room threatening to swing shut. ]
no subject
Don't mind Alan just pointing his flashlight in the direction of the door just in case.]
no subject
He glances at the door, and he does not have a good feeling about this.
He ignores this feeling.]
Well… Hopefully it’s not a violent spirit, regardless of where it came from.
[:worry: :worry: :worry:]
no subject
...
Well, okay, this is fine, and the door's not shut yet, so. ]
Hey, who's there?
[ Jeez he didn't even finish up here...he probably should've been quicker about this, but oh well. ]
no subject
listen closely, and there's a soft, high pitched laughter and the slight rattling of a shelf.
the door swings shut. ]
no subject
[Hmm yeah he's feeling that not good feeling too right now.]
no subject
and then, a soft, clear whisper in his ear: "Oh? Fresh blood? It's that time of year already, hm...?" ]
no subject
What do you mean, 'that time of year'?
[Because having a conversation with a strange disembodied voice is a perfectly normal thing to be doing!]
no subject
…
…]
Ah.
[Doors closing aren’t necessarily a bad thing? Or at least that’s what Arthur tells himself as he crosses the room.]
Wind seems unlikely - the talismans must be working already.
no subject
and by his right ear: Ą̸̗̥̅r̸̰̓͌͜e̵͙͋̂ ̶̛͇̝͋̈y̴̪͊͐͒ȯ̸̰̈u̸̗͇̔͋̈́ ̸̤̤̊̋̽h̸͇̼̊̀a̷̺͝v̸͇̺̅̆̐i̸͖̻͌n̵̲̫̏g̶͚͓̗͐ ̸͉̀f̶̪́ư̴̅͜͠n̵̦͐̿͝?̴̬̖̑
and now there's a hint of cold air blowing over the shell of his ear, too. ]
no subject
So, let's go to first and try to roundhouse kick that door open. ]
no subject
one of the towels on that shelf is going to unroll itself and smack him in the face. ]
no subject
... well. That sure did just happen. Looks like these ghosts are the mischievous sort?]
They're playing with us...
no subject
Sir Xue Yang, are you alright?
[He can’t even argue with Alan right now.]
no subject
[ Xue Yang grumbles under his breath, angrily tossing the towel aside, and refuses to look at either of the two. He'll start reaching for the door knob, eyes careful on his surroundings this time. ]
no subject
it's accompanied by a breathy laugh that sounds interspersed by radio static, one that all three of them can hear. the next words, also audible to all three of them despite the staticky quality of it, however, are also directed more at alan, in response to his question from earlier: "Didn't you know? Oh, she didn't tell you?!"
(it sounds positively delighted)
"It's been happening for over a few cycles by now..." ]
no subject
[He doesn't need to ask what 'she' they're referring to, but oh boy does he have some questions for her later.]
Mind enlightening us?
