WEEK THREE - MINGLE
WEEK THREE - MINGLE

SURVIVORS: 12
Last week might've been the worst week some of you have ever had. From the hallucinations to losing five of your number yet again, things are looking rather bleak -- and yet, perhaps optimistic, given that you're so close to ending the game. Is it worth sacrificing one more person to end it, though? ... Only one way to find out.
You have time until then, though, to regroup and recollect yourself if you choose to. From Monday morning, after the rain that fell on Sunday, the weather, continues to be more overcast and stormy throughout the week - gray clouds swirl around the sky ominously, and the pleasantly balmy weather that you've come to expect gives way to passing showers with ominous thunder. Perhaps it's not a good time to go for a swim in the pool, but no one's stopping you if that's what you decide on doing. Your locations, likewise, have changed.
The end is almost here. There are only slightly over half your number still remaining. Do your best to survive.

[ Nailed it. Perfect comeback. ]
Could you hold this for me? I need to get a better angle for this picture.
[ He puts down the camera and holds out the rat plush. ]

they make them into toys for kids now?? ]
Hm? Ah. I took a picture of that on Monday and it didn't show me anything. But maybe today will be different.
[ this place changes so much by the day... ]

[ He frowns a little before holding out the two photos in his hand so Lucas can look at them.
They’re from inside the suite.
One photo looks completely normal while the other looks a little staticky. ]
I thought I might get something more interesting than those if I took one of the door…
no subject
Doesn't hurt to try again. There must be a reason, right? That, uh, our rooms don't have all that creepy stuff happening in them at night. So that's why I took some pictures of the doors - mine and that big room.
no subject
That's what I was thinking of doing as well. Maybe there's something protecting us?
[ It might be worth seeing if there's anything at all in his own room in that case.
He sighs. ]
I thought I would get something in the presidential suite, since a few of the others had such a strange experience in there last week. [ He shakes his head. ] Every time I've gone in there, it's been a normal room.
[ Is that information he should be divulging? Probably not. But he doesn't care anymore. ]
no subject
[ he glances down at the rat plush. even this thing exists for a reason. everything in this place exists for a reason. ]
Like I said, just try. If nothing happens, then we're no worse than we were before.
no subject
[ But it doesn't matter anymore.
He also eyes the plush. ]
Maybe I should take a picture of that too.
[ Why not? ]
no subject
[ he holds up the plush, hiding the bottom half of his face. maybe it's creepier to show only his sharp, red eyes. ]
Was it a choice? What did she offer you guys? Not protection, obviously.
no subject
It was a choice. As for what we got out of it... I'm still not sure. We could protect certain people, but as you saw with Kaeya, that doesn't necessarily work out in the long run.
[ He protected Arthur only for him to die only a week later. Was it worth it? Yuki doesn't know—that's for Kaeya to answer. ]
no subject
I think protecting them from a killer is easier than protecting them from this place - or even from themselves. [ he shrugs. ] Have you noticed that sometimes... the girl is different? Did you notice anything during your... meetings with her, I guess?
no subject
[ He hesitates as he says that last part, still not really wanting to talk about everything that happened. ]
What have you noticed?
no subject
Sometimes, she's like a different person. Whatever, that'll come to light sooner or later. [ he shakes his head. ] Don't try to protect anyone this week.
no subject
He closes his eyes, letting out a small sigh. ]
It's too late for that.
no subject
[ he gazes at yuki for a moment, his eyes steady. there's no pity to be found in them. ]
You knew what you had signed up for, and still you committed. I suppose there's something to be said for that kind of selflessness.
no subject
Maybe. Is it selflessness or stupidity? I don’t know anymore.
[ But would he do it again if he was once again presented with this choice? Yes. ]
I’m sure they sought us out because they knew we would say yes.
no subject
It's the same thing, isn't it?
no subject
Yeah, it is. But I guess being stupidly selfless is better than only caring about myself.
[ He wouldn’t want to live that way. ]
